All online orders will be shipped with an 'Authority to Leave' instruction at checkout. This means that if you are not at home at the time of delivery, the courier will leave the parcel in a safe place. However, if the courier deems it unsafe to leave the parcel unattended, they will take it to your local post office and leave a card for you to call and arrange for pick-up. Even if you are at home, the courier will still capture your signature and name for proof of delivery.
Once the courier has left your order in a safe area, they will make a note of the location or take a picture as evidence of delivery. It is important to note that once the order is left at your premises, it is considered 'delivered'.
I've been notified that my order has been delivered, but I haven't received it!
- Check your tracking details. Your order may have been taken to your local Post Office.
- Check the surroundings of your property/mailbox. The courier may leave your order in a partially obscured spot to keep it safely away from street view.
*SurfStitch takes no responsibility for an order missing due to theft or negligence if a parcel is delivered in a safe place and proof of delivery is provided by the courier confirming this.
